If you have a little person, like I do, it’s hard to miss.
Growth and Change – it’s a constant around here. I’ve spent August watching her toes stretch and kiss the front edge of her sandals. It’s quite possible that we may get s**w in the next month so I will not be buying another pair.
This week we visited the Valleyview Little Animal Farm and this climbing structure was new since our last visit, last year. Averleigh was so excited to give it a try. I did hold her around the waist to make sure she could actually reach each bar since that gap is a little large for her size. If she had gone any higher she would be out of my reach.
She was pretty proud of herself…and for a change, I’m going to leave it just at that!
Thanks always to Sally of the Studio Sublime for these wonderful weekly prompts.
so fun to watch them grow! and wonderful to see them proud of themselves :)
ReplyDeleteSavor every wonderful moment of her accomplishments, and you can believe me when I say they will get better with each coming day, month, year.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet picture, with her pink hat! :-) The little ones grow so fast. I am trying to savor it while I can, as I've been advised by many parents through the years! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIndeed! Our two seemed to grow and change every week (now they're 17 and 15 and still growing...)
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation of this week's prompt :)
Really like your picture this week. Love the contrast of the pink and yellow against the gray and the clouded sky .
ReplyDeleteThink how she will be scrambling up there next year! Lovely pic!
ReplyDeleteThat 4 letter word starting with s and ending with w is forbidden in this house... How many months will I have to hibernate this year! Looks like averliegh had fun!
ReplyDeleteChildren are a very good way to measure growth and change. It is so special to see them being proud of their accomplishments. Averleigh is such a cute girl and this is a great pic of her.
ReplyDeleteTrue, there is no better way to watch growth and change when you have little munchkins around. Oooh - the 4 letter word, hope it's not so early in the books for you, 'cause it'll soon be upon us too! But I did the same - checked the boots on the child to see if we need to buy new ones (apparently we don't yet - I bought them large enough in the spring :) ). Enjoy! Averleigh is a wonderful girl.
ReplyDeleteI had a flashback reading about the toes growing out of her sandals, Emma... it's a pleasant but distant memory for me, now that the boys are all in size 12 and 13 LOL. And thankfully buying their own!
ReplyDeleteThey are ever changing and growing aren't they, mine will be 15 this year, oh my goodness!
ReplyDeleteAww she looks so cute in that hat! They do grow up so fast. This morning I sobbed after watching my son drive off to Denver for college, though it seems like it was not long ago that he was the one crying while I watched him enter his kindergarten room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie! Yes, like Alice mine are grown and gone. Was hard to let go...I keep telling them they are still my babies! Thanks for the great post.
ReplyDeleteYour post made me smile. So many changes happen so quickly when the kids are little. Beautiful post.
